Brazil is often accused of having lackluster waves. The criticism generally comes around a WSL event, which, for some reason, have been oddly cursed for a while now. But Brazil didn’t pump out the Storm by having shit waves. There are indeed very good waves there, and Nic von Rupp recently headed to the land of the palms to have a crack at some of them.
“It’s incredible that in Brazil you can find waves comparable to world-class waves like Puerto Escondido, Supertubos, or even Pipeline!” Nic gushed. He was joined by Lucas Fink, Ian Cosensa, and Michelle Bouillons, and they definitely found waves worthy of some high praise.
