Lagundri Bay, Nias, is surely one of the most picture-perfect waves on the planet. It’s not something to be trifled with, though, but it certainly is something to shoot for. And on May 13, it got just about as good as it can get.
South swell with almost no wind all day long,” wrote Raw Files. “A dropping tide in the morning and only 10-12 people in the lineup made this day special. The morning was still a bit slow, long waiting for the sets, many wide ones made it a bit difficult to get a good tube.”
But as the day progressed, things got better and better. “Around midday the cross on wind got a bit stronger till 4 p.m.,” Raw Files continued. “Around 5 p.m. when the tide started to go out, the wave machine of Lagundri Bay turned on, set after set, perfect clean tubes with a beautiful sunset!”
