Your eyes probably burn from the sun and salt, your sinuses may be full of salt water, and you are in the best shape a surfer can be in: absolutely surfed out. Uluwatu has been all-time. Padang Padang has, too. All those famous waves that pepper that famous archipelago have been absolutely on fire, and Nias is no exception.
Right when the calendar flipped from July to August, Nias lit up even more brightly than usual. August 1 was the biggest Nias of 2021 so far — but far from the biggest it can get — and all those who were there totally scored.
