The Inertia

Hey guys, I just wanted to pass along a little clip from last night’s sunset in New York. We’ve been blessed for days of waves and sunsets each night.

I was swimming pretty much all day shooting under cloudy skies. It was a very cold and grey day with hard offshores. I had a feeling that the sun would be peaking out under the cloud line for sunset. I took pm at around 3:00 pm and laid my suit, booties, and gloves on the radiator at my place.

I swam back out at 5:00 pm, and by then the sky already had a little glow. By 5:20 pm the sun did exactly as I predicted and slid right under the cloud line for a full-on light show. This lasted all of ten minutes, but in that short period of time all the photogs had cleaned up. The surfer is unknown. Until the next one.
