Nazaré is a spot like no other. Often scorned by people that haven’t seen it with their own eyes, the wave there is created by a deep underwater canyon that funnels and intensifies the North Atlantic’s power directly under the cliffs. The show it puts on, and the surfers who ride the waves there, are becoming a global phenomenon.
A few days ago, the North Canyon roared to life, and as usual, it was a sight to see.
