Another collab in the books and a new sticker on the board. Big-wave surfer Nathan Florence gave his YouTube subscribers a sneak peek of his new fin technology with FCS in a session with brothers Ivan and John John at Rockies on Monday.
Nathan joined the FCS team in late June of this year. The three-year deal apparently includes plans for “a range of heavy-water products including a signature line of fins, traction and leashes.” While the fins in the vlog were made with big-wave thrusters and slab surfing in mind, Nathan wanted to test them before peak Pipe season starts. Which, with the way things are going, could be really soon. Featuring his signature lightning bolts, Nathan paired his new thruster set-up with an epoxy board, (while John John has reportedly switched back to poly). Needless to say, the fins look good under his feet.
