The Seven Mile Miracle sleeps in the summer months, only waking up for brief moments, but as winter nears, it begins to open its bleary eyes and stretch its sleep-stiff limbs. This summer, in particular, might’ve been a little harder for people like Nathan Florence, who’s used to hopping on planes in a moment’s notice.
While the pandemic made that harder, he still managed to hit the road, but he was surely thinking about the months ahead when the best waves on Earth are breaking at his doorstep. Well, that time is now. The first solid swell of the season rolled through town recently, and Nathan, along with everyone else, was there to celebrate its arrival.
