The call of nature is a hard call to ignore. Impossible if you let her call for long enough. She just gets louder and more insistent until she decides for you that you WILL answer her call. Sometimes, instead of quietly nudging you for a while first, she’ll decide that her first call will be a very loud one. “ANSWER MY CALL!” she screams somewhere inside your stomach. “ANSWER IT RIGHT NOW!”
Nathan Fletcher recounted one such instance that happened when he was a child. He, along with his family, packed in the van and headed up to Rincon for a big swell.
