Nate Florence has found his niche. That niche, of course, is surfing waves of enormous consequence. Waves that the layperson wouldn’t consider surfing anywhere other than in their mind. Waves with the thickest of lips and shallowest of bottoms. But Florence lives for those waves, as evidenced by his Slab Tour.
Since Nate pulls a paycheck from GoPro, he’s in a pretty ideal situation to show those waves from his perspective, which is not a perspective anyone else will ever truly experience. But with a GoPro in hand or mouth or onboard, we can get pretty dang close. Which is what this edit is made of: just Nate’s point of view as he navigates his way through waves most won’t ever navigate.
