Puerto Escondido is a extraordinarily difficult wave to surf when it’s really on. Crazy rips and endless sets make the paddle out a nightmare, but when you get a good one… well, you’re coming back for more. Nate Florence recently headed down to Mexico to surf Puerto — he’s been going there since he was just a kid, so it’s a bit of a second home — and he’s not even close to tired of it. The raw footage you see above isn’t exactly tight editing, but that’s what makes it so raw. Just 15 minutes of maxing Puerto, full of surfers testing themselves on some incredible waves.
