Motorized surfboards look fun, but don’t seem ready for shredding waves yet. They look to be a better fit in the jet ski category than the surfing category. I’ve never ridden one so I can only speculate, but I see them more fit for a slalom race than a surfing competition. Again though, I think it would be a lot of fun to go rip around on these little bangers, but I’d only support it at places where no one is surfing. I interviewed pro surfers about them. Kelly Slater makes a great point or two. Shocker.
