Our day started early in the morning in Ocean City, NJ. When we got to the North End of the island, the surf was nothing like we’d expected. Wind blown, choppy, inconsistent sets. We were bummed! We’d been following and waiting all week for this swell to come through. We headed down a couple streets hoping to find something manageable to go out in… nothing. We wound up at Surfer’s Supplies in OC where the guys there gave us the tip to head up to Bay Head. We hopped on the Garden State Parkway to find Bay Head partially underwater due to the storm from the night before. When we finally made it through the flooded streets and up to the beach, we landed on one of the best swells Bay Head’s seen in a long time. And here’s proof.
