Surfing in Southern California can be bitter-sweet. Week-long wave droughts and disturbingly heavy crowds are way too common for anybody’s liking. There are, however, extraordinary moments when all of Mother Nature’s wonderful elements come together. Such was the case in late October when several swells, favorable sandbars, and those lovely offshore winds October is famous for simultaneously descended upon the region to produce nothing short of pure magic.
