Mick Rodgers grew up in LA’s South Bay. When his father first put him on a surfboard, he started him on a single-fin. Mick’s father had a love for the style of surfing in the ’60s, and passed that love onto his son.
Now Rodgers is living in Encinitas, surfing on Bing surfboards, and living life just how he wants to. He likes the way longboarding is going right now. “It’s evolved a lot and there are so many people that are putting their own twist on things,” he says. “It’s exciting to see people take more interest compared to when I first started.”
