Just before Christmas last year, Michel Bourez escaped to the Tuamotu archipelago to surf a perfect uncrowded right-hander with fellow tour veteran Jeremy Flores and young hopeful Mihimana Braye.
It was Michel’s last free surf before heading to France for an operation on his knee. Six months later, after successful surgery and intensive training, he’s back. Michel is competing on the WQS in an attempt to requalify for the the CT as well as keep his chances alive to surf Teahupo’o in the 2024 Olympics.
