The Mentawai Islands are utterly beautiful. You can pretty much get good waves here year-round. However, in my opinion, the beginning of the dry season (early March) is a good bet, as you’re likely to get some epic waves with light crowds. And while we’re all so used to seeing surfing’s elite score epic waves from around these parts, here are few of your everyday surfers having a go at the wonderful surf the Indonesian archipelago has to offer.
