This has been a big week few days in surfing. The Hawaiian Islands bore the brunt of an enormous swell that lit up Jaws and Oahu’s outer reefs. The Pipeline Masters fired the starter’s gun. The Roxy Pro at Honolua started and then stopped because of a shark attack. And Maverick’s quite possibly was the best it’s been in decades. The best big wave surfers in the world came to play, including Kai Lenny, Ian Walsh, Grant Washburn, and many more. Keep your eyes peeled, because this swell is still pulsing and we’re in for a treat.
