Mason Ho isn’t known for his cautious approach to surfing. He dances with rocks, pokes his head into barrels that most people wouldn’t even sniff at, and generally seems not to care about his flesh. His dad, Michael Ho, isn’t too enthusiastic about it, but since he’s a Ho, he gets it.
The vlog you see above was shot on the down days of the Backdoor Shootout. Michael has been watching Mason surf this wave for years, and he’s always been curious. “Usually Uncle Mike doesn’t like Mason surfing these types of waves,” Mason’s team said, “but for some reason on this special day Pops went for it!”
