Of all the places in all the world, there’s a good chance Portugal is the best. Of course, that’s all completely subjective, but to some, it’s an absolute paradise. The food, the waves, the people, the wine, the culture of the place… it’s just about as perfect as a place can be. Mason Ho recently headed there to compete in Challenger Series event and do a bit of exploring — emphasis on the latter.
The session you see above was shot a little north of Ericeira, on the search for another fun wave along a coastline full of fun waves. “We ended up eating lunch watching this wave that looks so fun but very crowded and regulated,” Mason wrote.
After watching the wave for a while, though, Mason couldn’t help himself. “The locals held it down but showed aloha and shared some rides,” he continued. “A very cool experience! Thanks to the boys out there!”
