Mason Ho surfing V-Land

The Inertia

Mason Ho is about as local as a North Shore local can get. He’s got surfing royalty in his blood. Dad, uncle, sister, all sitting at the top of the surfing food chain. And Mason? Well, Mason surfs like most people mind surf.

He’s got something a little different than most professionals: a sort of weird, childlike whimsy when he’s riding a wave. One gets the sense that he really IS surfing because it’s the greatest thing in the world instead of surfing so we can see him surf. Mason would be surfing exactly the way he does if no one ever saw him doing it.

In this short surf offering (below), Mason, his good friend Baby Bear, Coco, and Robbie Page all make appearances at a very famous wave on the North Shore. Of all the waves on that fabled stretch of sand, the wave Mason calls V-Town might be one of the most fun… especially if you can surf it like Mason does.
