The Inertia

Mason Ho is a master of surfing (and finding) waves most of us wouldn’t think about riding. But because those waves are often hidden away, or cracks in the wall, or just plain big (see Waimea), they’re often heavier. Which is why Mason Ho’s just-released wipeout reel is, yes, heavy. It’s heavy because Mason isn’t afraid to wipeout, or take one (or three) on the head, or dodge rocks, or generally kick out in gnarly spots. But that’s what makes this reel so good, set to great music as he pays the price for finding those out-of-the-way spots.
