There probably isn’t a surfer who pops up in your feed more frequently than Mason Ho. The man is always surfing and there’s never a shortage of footage coming out of the Ho & Pringle Productions camp. But more often than not, that latest clip is something you’ll only get a snippet of. See you next week, same time, same place, same dude doing something incredible every time.
Maybe that’s why it doesn’t seem like we ever hit our collective limit on Mason Ho content. He has a je ne sais quoi that prompted Logan Dulien, the creator of the now-iconic Snapt series, to give Ho some pretty lofty praise.
“From an entertainment standpoint, I think Mason is the most entertaining regular footer on the planet. And I’d have to say Clay Marzo is the most entertaining goofy footer. Am I saying they’re the best regular footer or goofy footers? No, I’m saying entertainment-wise, as far as their approach to surfing, they’re just so creative,” the filmmaker said last year.
Between storing clips for the upcoming Snapt 5 film (a hard and fast rule for Snapt film parts is that no footage from the film can be posted online before the film’s release. No exceptions), and keeping his own weekly schedule of new short edits, it’s an impressive feat for Mason Ho to still have enough footage for a full 22-minute film release like the one you see below. That 22-minute feature is Ind Ho Nesia, a project that was teased earlier this month with footage from trips between Indonesia and Ho’s home in Hawaii. It features familiar faces we see on his travels — Noa Deane, Clay Marzo, Harry Bryant, Mega Semadhi, Coco Ho — but Mase holds top billing in this one. He is “the most entertaining regular footer on the planet,” after all.
