The Inertia

There are a lot of surf films out there, but only a few stand out from the rest. The Snapt series stands out. Each installment is better than the last, and Snapt4 is the best one yet. Originally set to be released in October of 2020, but then the pandemic stalled the production. The premise is simple: each surfer gets a three-minute part, and each is fighting to win best section. The winner gets $50,000, second place takes home $20,000, and third gets $10,000. None of the clips can have been seen anywhere else, so it’s all fresh to the viewer’s eye.

Jack Robinson ended up winning after a bit of a hang up surrounding a broken rule by Barron Mamiya, but Mason Ho’s part was likely one of the most anticipated. Mason Ho just released some footage that didn’t quite make the final cut, and it, as we’ve come to expect from Mason, is extraordinarily entertaining.
