When you think of the greatest goofy-footers, chances are very good that Mark Occhilupo and Rob Machado are at the top of the list. Still, even though they’re both incredible screw foots, they are very different surfers. Machado is all flowing hair and flowing style, while Occy is all jutted jaw and raw power.
They were both shining stars in the heydeys of surf, and they’ve managed to carve long-lasting careers around wave riding. On the latest installment of the Occ-Cast, they’re both getting a little longer in the tooth, so they have a sit down to run over the last few decades of lives well lived.
