The Inertia

Mark Healey has surfed his fair share of larger-than-average waves. It’s kind of his life’s work after all, so when the swell gets big, Mark is out there. Whether it’s possibly the biggest wave ever at Puerto or a one-in-a-million wave at Pipeline, Healey knows how to handle himself in serious surf. And on February 25, when the North Shore was positively bombing, he handled himself.

Second reef Pipe was maxed out on that particular day, and the wave that Healey stroked into was, according to his YouTube channel, “one of his best waves of the winter.” Which is saying a lot, because Mark Healey gets a lot of waves over the course of a winter.
