Tim Bonython is a real heavy-water connoisseur. He spends his life chasing the biggest swells the planet can conjure up, then points his camera at the action. He routinely documents some of the world’s wildest swells, and after spending three months in Portugal, he headed home to meet another one at Cape Solander.
“The East coast of Australia, including Sydney, has copped so much rain that its turned the ocean into a brown foam that’s supposably not good for your health,” he wrote. “This edit will show you the reason why. I spend the morning following Wayne Cleveland plus longtime Ours regulars Jesse Polock and James Adams. Plus local legend Kipp Caddy, Maxime Rayor, Zac Martin, and backhand specialists Max McGuigan and Kirk Flintoff. Slab master Dylan Longbottom scored the bomb of the day and also towed his daughter Summa into a couple.”
There’s a reason why this place is called Cape Fear… just hit play to remind yourself why.
