The Code Red 2 swell created a whole pile of waves when it made its way across the ocean. Tahiti blew up. Maui blew up. The Wedge blew up. And of course, Malibu was also in the mix. While it wasn’t huge, it certainly was bigger than normal. And that wave, when a swell of the right direction hits it, is just about as good as a wave can get. Too bad everyone in Southern California knows it.
“After massive surf in both Tahiti and Hawaii,” wrote Scott Gudahl on YouTube, “the Code Red 2 swell arrived in California. Four days of perfect surf from sunrise to sunset. I knew I needed to capture all angles of the swell so I brought all my surf and camera gear and made a few days of it.”
