So Eithan Osborne, Micky Clarke, Noah Schweizer, Chris Papaleo, and I had been hanging out one day in Ventura looking for waves. This was all during the huge Thomas Fires in California, and I remember there being barely any waves for more than a week while the offshore wind continued to blow and make the fire worse. As you can see in the beginning of this edit, I caught some footage of the Santa Barbara mountains burning.
Anyway, this particular session ended up being super fun with just our little crew out. We rolled up to C Street with the wind non-existent and the smoke in the sky giving the whole afternoon a super warm feeling. The boys surfed, we filmed. It was quiet, calm, and about as fun as chest-high meager rights can get.
