Luke Cederman of The Raglan Surf Report was number one on our surf comedian power rankings for a reason. Now he’s back at it again with a parody of self-important surf instructors and their often-questionable techniques for practicing surf moves on land.
RSR’s new video opens with Cederman “perfecting his body mechanics for backside surfing” (read: doing a bunch of quasi-yogic nonsense to a lilting pan flute score). He’s then joined by McKenzie Bowden (number four on the rankings, for those keeping score), who expresses what I would call a healthy and warranted amount of confusion and disgust for self-important, landlocked surf gurus.
The rest of the video is hilarious, but we’ll let you discover it for yourself. Just make sure you stick around for Cederman riding a foamie on a one-foot wave screaming “whooah-pisshah” over and over in VO.
