One of the most fun swells this winter in Los Angeles happened last week. It was definitely not the biggest.
Big surf doesn’t always mean fun. When the surf is big, it can come with weather, like wind or rain. Or, as is usually the case, the currents can be so powerful that no one can stay in position to catch waves. Rare is the day when the waves are big, and the conditions are perfect.
This particular swell was clean and it looked like surfers were having a blast. It also pulled a Lowers-in-summer type crowd. There were lots of heads in the water. But you can see why. Thanks for watching! I’ll sea ya on the sand.
