Would you pull into a big beachbreak barrel knowing that you’re going to get destroyed? These surfers did. And despite the pounding they surely took, I’m think they’d do it over and over again. There’s just something about beachbreak barrels in Los Angeles that inspires surfers to send.
I filmed a few barrels around Los Angeles and examined surfers’ technique as they pulled in, trying to decipher why they didn’t make it out, or why they did. It was a fun exercise. I hope you enjoy it.
