Editor’s Note: #LogDaze is a new series featuring some of the world’s most radical longboard visuals. The fourteenth in the series is Reunion Island-born, French expatriate and surfer Victoria Vergara.
Surfing came naturally to me. I started at age four thanks to my parents, who are both surfers. I grew up between New Caledonia and Reunion Island, which is where I started longboarding. I’ve always wanted to be become a professional surfer, and I’m making my dream come true by competing on the WQS. In fact, I won my first QS this summer. My goal now is to become world champion. The beginning of my career in surfing and modeling was at 15 with Roxy. Today, now 20 years old, I travel around the world, discovering new cultures and new waves as a Reef Girl’s ambassador. I’m truly living the dream.
