That frontside layback turn of his alone is something you can’t miss, whether it’s because he pulls it out of his bag so often or because he does it with such exaggerated flair. Either way, it’s unmistakable. There’s explosiveness and a casual nature to the 21-year-old Australian’s surfing all at once. And it’s pretty impressive.
