Leila Hurst is much more than a pretty smile. Aside from the fact that she is a sweet bundle of joy from Kauai, this 21-year-old surfs comparably to any other girl on tour. I first met Leila while surfing Malibu during the infamous Hurricane Marie. In addition to being a stand out in the water, she generously gave priority to others in less favorable positions. For this, Leila embodies the true essence of the aloha spirit of sharing smiles and waves in between shredding a few waves of here own. This attitude should serve as inspiration for all who wish to lead kind and happy lives – in and out of the water.
