It’s been almost a year since I made my last surf film The Winter Surf in South Korea. Making the film was such a great experience that since then I have became immersed into pretty much anything related to surf films. I’ve watched hundreds of films and did tons of research before I started conceptualized the new film.
My wife and I decided to shoot the next one in Indonesia. We wanted to make this film different by including lots of non-surf shots such as culture, people and nature. Then combine it with incredible surf footage. We tried to depict the harmony that exists between land and sea.
Surfing is not just getting onto a plane and stepping off into the ocean. It’s going to a place and experiencing the sights and sounds. I hope you enjoy the film, and please feel free to share. Thanks.
