When HT’s, or Lance’s Right, or Hollow Trees, or whatever you want to call it, turns on, it is truly a magical place.
Back in the ’90s, an Australian guy named Lance Knight set up shop on Sipora Island in the Mentawai archipelago. He set up shop there because right out front was a wave that is very nearly perfect. Since then, of course, a bunch of surf camps have sprung up, including Hollow Tree’s Resort, which is where the video you’re about to watch was shot from.
