The Inertia

Getting jazzed for a surf in crossed up, onshore surf isn’t the easiest task in the world. When you lay your head down at night you’re probably not dreaming of unpredictable and gutless peaks. You don’t wake up at 5 am hoping the ocean greets you with waves that have no shape. You want glassy, fast waves that peel for days.

Then again, if you’re Kolohe Andino or Griffin Colapinto it doesn’t really matter. These aren’t the worst conditions on the planet, but they’re certainly not the best either. And these guys can make just about anything look fun. Which is kind of why we watch these freak athletes surf so much anyway, isn’t it? They just make it all look fun (even the impossibly not fun stuff).
