When Haleiwa gets big, it’s a hard place to surf. Rip bowls, current, and very heavy waves make navigating the lineup hard, but when it’s hard out there, it’s good. And when it’s good, the North Shore’s best surfers come out to play.
In the case of the video you see above, courtesy of Off Da Lip, the best certainly showed up. Imaikalani DeVault, John John Florence, Jack Robinson, Nate Florence, Ezekiel Lau, Koa Smith (who attempted to go switch stance), Conner Coffin, Ivan Florence, and more were all there for a session that’s frankly pretty mind-blowing.
