Koa Rothman is lucky enough and talented enough to be one of those people who are able to surf Pipeline in basically any of her many moods. Big and terrifying? Koa’s out there. Perfect and glassy? Koa’s there, too. And since he lives within a stone’s throw from the place, he’s also one of those people who are able to surf it when it’s not obscenely crowded. And sometimes, if the stars really align, it’s big, perfect, and relatively uncrowded. Not often, but sometimes. As was the case in the video you see above, aptly entitled “Pipeline Goes Psycho With No One Out!” where Pipeline turned on in a major way and the crowd seemed to have missed it.
