The Inertia

When Kirra is cooking, it’s one of the best waves on the planet. “Cooking,” though, depends on your comfort level when things get hairy. The general consensus among most average surfers would probably land somewhere in the 4-6 foot range, because when it gets bigger than that, Kirra is a wave that’ll make a mess in your trunks. And during cyclone season, it becomes apparent why that is.

Above is Kirra, around the 8-10 foot range. That’s when, according to Raw Surfing, the “ride of your life can become the worst beating of your life.”
