Back in July, Kirra did what it does best: it turned on. It’s been a few months since that particular swell hit Australia’s east coast, but it’s worth looking back at. When Kirra does its thing, it’s one of the best waves in the world. Some of the best surfers in the world cut their teeth there, and it’s clear exactly why that is… the wave requires a lot of skill to make the most of it. Thankfully (or perhaps not, if you’re a surfer who surfs Kirra), there are a lot of talented surfers who surf it.
