If you’re a fan of HBOs “Eastbound and Down” or are familiar with the K-Swiss “Tubes” advertising campaign than you already know who Kenny Powers is. In the newest season, Kenny finds himself playing for a minor league baseball team in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. And Kenny is embracing the beach lifestyle big time!
In the Season Premiere we catch up with a gung-ho Kenny as he rides his sponge out past the breakers to commune with the other “locals.” During his short stint in the beach side community he’s already fluent in the vernacular (“Mahalo, you f*ckin surfers!”) and even seems to be playing nice with others. Of course, any day without drama is a wasted day for Kenny, so it’s no surprise when a quiet jaunt into the ocean almost turns into a knife fight.
