You know that Kelly Slater is into surfing. You know he’s into golf. You know he’s into living a healthy lifestyle. But did you know he’s into poker? Well, turns out he is. He, along with chef José Andrés, NBA all-star Pau Gasol, actors Jon Hamm, Jason Alexander, and Kevin Pollak all sat down around a virtual felt table to face off on ClubWPT. It wasn’t just for fun, though. Budweiser donated $125,000 on behalf of the players to World Central Kitchen.
If you don’t have time to sit through the entire thing (spoiler alert ahead), Kelly left the game in fifth place after Jon Hamm beat him. “I haven’t played cards in a long time. Obviously, by the way I played,” he said afterward. “I just got stuck in a couple of hands and I was just dwindling down on money. It was over before I knew it.”
