The Surf Ranch is a place where trying things on a surfboard is extraordinarily easy. Wave after wave, each one nearly identical to the last, peel through with the push of a button. That, of course, lends itself to all sorts of things: new aerials, practiced carves, and yes, party waves. Or, in the case of Kelly Slater and Jackson Dorian, party barrels.
Jackson, as you well know, is Shane Dorian’s son and Kelly Slater’s godson, so he’s growing up in the shadow of legends. It’s quickly becoming clear that he’s bursting into the spotlight himself.
