The first full-scale public surf park powered by Wavegarden’s Cove technology is officially pumping out waves in the English town of Bristol. And while there may be some sour grapes over what the pros have been able to ride versus what the general public has gotten so far (though, The Wave tells us regulatory hurdles will soon be overcome to produce bigger waves), objectively the place is highly rippable. Or, as Kanoa Igarashi puts it, “cuddly.”
What the man repping Japan does to a “cuddly” wave, though, is anything but.
Recently, the Red Bull team got the nod to spend an entire day at Bristol’s new freshwater surf paradise, and the footage definitely makes the place look pretty fun. As if anybody was on the fence.
