There’s been a flurry of waves in California lately and while I was filming the other day in Newport, I ran into Kaito Ohashi, a QS surfer from Japan. He’s a busy man who fits the bill of the roaming QS warrior, having competed in 15 WSL Qualifying Series contests already with his sixteenth underway this weekend in Pismo Beach. The Volcom Pipe Pro, a second at the Nias Pro, the Siargao Cloud 9 Cup, the Vans US Open, and the list goes on — Kaito’s been all over the map in 2018.
Regardless, he is the nicest guy and a very talented surfer as you can see from these highlights of his session in Newport.
