The Inertia

Chances are not very good that you are looking to learn how to do a backflip or a frontflip on a wing foil. There aren’t too many people on earth, after all, that are actually using a wing foil enough to be in the position where they can even consider doing flips, but you know what? It’s cool to see someone do it. Enter Kai Lenny, who has graciously made an instructional video for a tiny percentage of the wing foiling population, which is already pretty small.

Kai Lenny is always looking for the next thing. He’s a juggernaut of progression, learning one thing and then mastering it while learning something else. A while ago, Kai saw his brother Ridge and Jeffery Spencer doing frontflips, and it inspired him.

“Finally the sport of wing surfing has evolved to the point we can go upside down,” he wrote. “I realized if we can do backflips, why can’t we do frontflips!? Here’s my little journey and how I did it.”
