Kai Lenny is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best big wave surfers in the world. He’s a multi-disciplinary athlete, able to perform at world-class levels on a variety of different crafts, but the one constant in his professional life is that the waves are big. Last year, though, he had a tough loss at the Jaws event, so when the first big winter swell hit Peahi, he was out there with redemption on his mind.
Joining him was his brother, Ridge, whose big wave talents are quickly catching up to Kai’s. This is the second installment of the second season of Life of Kai. Season one of Red Bull’s series bounced around the world from Nazaré to Jaws and Maverick’s, and it gave us a look into what goes through Kai’s head when he’s preparing for a session that only a handful of surfers in the world would even consider.
