Kai Lenny is not like most surfers. At 30-years-old, he’s already regarded as one of the best waterman in the world. He’s tamed wind and giant waves. He continues to push the boundaries of what is in the realm of human capability. He’s insanely talented. But, like most surfers, Lenny has spent his life dreaming of competing in the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational.
“The day the Eddie got called on it almost seemed too good to be true,” says Lenny. “I’ve waited my entire life for this moment. Like many others I have the Eddie Aikau poster on my wall. It’s been a dream to surf it.”
