The Inertia

Kai Lenny enjoys the ocean. It’s his favorite playground, a place that has made him the person he is today. That’s a person who excels on just about any kind of water craft he decides to set foot on.

He’s got a bit of a different mindset than most people — a different way of looking at things, a different way of thinking. He weighs the risks, balances those with what he knows he can do, then sets out to have as much fun as he possibly can.

And of all the places on Earth for a guy who loves playing in the ocean to be, there aren’t many better than Namotu, Fiji.

“Without a doubt Namotu, Fiji is one of my favorite places on Earth,” Lenny wrote. “The conditions are incredible for every water sport under the sun. On top of it all some of the nicest people on Earth are there.”

If you, like Lenny, are into fun things that involve the ocean, you couldn’t pick a better place to go. It might be a bit of a trek, depending on where you live in the world, but the bang for your buck is certainly there.

“This small mound of sand in the middle of the South Pacific holds a special place in my heart,” he said. “It’s home to some of the best wind, waves, fishing, diving, and people in the entire world.”

On his trip there, Lenny definitely packed a lot in. He’s not a guy who likes to sit around and stay still, especially when he’s in a paradise like Fiji, and he put in the time to make sure he squeezed as much juice out of it as possible.
